Annette

Annette is passionate about life in general and her practice of yoga forms a fundamental part of her ongoing inquiry into the amazing nature of what it is to be human, and the miraculous gifts we have at our fingertips.  For her, yoga is not about control, but it is a liberation, setting the body, mind and being free to express it self in its most optimal capacity.

She has been involved in movement and healing for over 25 years, having previously trained in sports therapy, massage, Pilates, worked in dance and other creative areas.  She has been practicing yoga for 12 years.  In discovering the work of Godfri Devereux 5 years ago ago, she has found that this has transformed her yoga practice, lending an unshakeable foundation of honesty and clarity, not only in the practice of yoga but other areas of physical and spiritual enquiry, an opening to delight,  and unmistakable healing in her own body and in the bodies of those that she teaches.

Her teaching of yoga is also closely linked to tantric principles.

Annette is also a highly skilled massage and bodywork practitioner.

Sebastian

Sebastian’s first contact with yoga was through meditation during a visit to India at the age of eighteen.
Yoga posture practice followed soon after, however leaving him with a trace of dissatisfaction “like an impenetrable wall that you couldn’t force your way through”. It was only when he came into contact with The Dynamic Yoga Method that the sensation of limitlessness  that he had experienced in deep meditation became apparent on the yoga mat as well. Surrendering to sensitivity and using the minimum effort possible opened up a whole new perspective on life.

He has spent several summers apprenticing with Godfrey Devereux at Windfire Yoga in France, where he also did his Teacher Training and met Annette.
